HBL PSL 7 Schedule
According to a press release by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the oncoming edition of the Pakistan Super League 2022 7th Edition starts from January 27, 2021. Pakistan Super League 7th Edition begins on January 27 with an opening ceremony and 1st match of the PSL 2022 at the National Stadium, Karachi.
PSL 2022 Venues
The PSL 2022 will be played in two major cities of Pakistan one is the capital of Punjab province and the other is the city of lights (Karachi). The first 15 matches will be played at the National Cricket Stadium, Karachi. The last 19 matches including the PSL 7 Finals will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
National Stadium Karachi
The National Stadium is a cricket stadium in Karachi owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board. The National Cricket Stadium, Karachi was established in April 1955. It is the largest Cricket ground in Pakistan with a seating capacity of 34,228. This is the home ground of Karachi Kings and many other domestic cricket teams. The first T20I was played on April 20, 2008, between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The first WT20I was played on October 28, 2008.
Gaddafi Stadium Lahore
The Gaddafi Stadium is a cricket stadium in Lahore owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board. The Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore was established in 1959. It is named after Libyan head of state Muammar Gaddafi. It has a seating capacity of 27,000 making it one of the biggest stadiums in Pakistan. This is the home ground of Lahore Qalandars and many other domestic cricket teams. The first T20I was played on May 22, 2015, between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. The first WT20I was played on October 26, 2019.

The Islamabad United team represents the capital of Pakistan and was founded in 2015 to compete in the Pakistan Super League. The franchise owners are the Leonine Global Sports entity owned by Amna Naqvi and Ali Naqvi. In the first four seasons of the Pakistan Super League the Islamabad United team was coached by the late Dean Jones. In the fifth season of the Pakistan Super League Misbah-ul-Haq was appointed Chief Selector and the Head Coach. The franchise won the inaugural season of the Pakistan Super League and has also won the third season of the Pakistan Super League. They are the most successful team in the Pakistan Super League. As they have won 2 seasons of the HBL PSL which made them the most successful team in the PSL. In the first season of HBL PSL, they defeated Quetta Gladiator to get the PSL trophy. In the third season, they defeated Peshawar Zalmi to clinch the trophy. They have qualified for the finals in the first three seasons of HBL PSL consecutively. They have won both of the titles under the captaincy of Misbah-ul-Haq. In the fourth season, Misbah-ul-Haq was replaced by M Sami who was replaced by Shadab Khan. Shadab Khan became the third player to lead the Islamabad United team in PSL.
Lahore Qalandars (LQ)
Lahore Qalandar is a professional T20I franchise cricket team in HBL PSL. They are also known by the nickname of Qalandars. The Lahore Qalandar team represents the capital of Punjab, Pakistan, and was founded in 2015 to compete in the Pakistan Super League. The Home ground for the team is the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The franchise owner is Fawad Rana. The head coach of the team is Aqib Javed and the batting coach for the Qalandars is Mansoor Rana and the fielding coach is Shahzad Butt. They had bad luck in PSL till last season were able to find their way to get to the finals. For the first time in 5 seasons, Lahore Qalandars were able to reach the finals. In the first edition of the Pakistan Super League, they had one of the best T20I players Chris Gayle but it didn’t help them much to get the PSL trophy. In the five seasons, many big names have joined the Lahore Qalandars franchise but all players seemed to fail in helping to get the PSL Trophy for Lahore Qalandars. Last year their luck supported them but not enough to get their hands on the PSL Trophy they were beaten by the Karachi Kings in the final of Pakistan Super League 5th Edition 2020. Sohail Akhtar led the Lahore Qalandar side for the second time in the Pakistan Super League 6th Edition 2021.
Quetta Gladiators
Another one of the best teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL 6) is Quetta Gladiators. It represents Quetta in HBL PSL. Quetta is the capital of the largest province of Pakistan that is Balochistan. They are also known by the nicknames of Shan-e-Pakistan and Purple-force. The owner of the Quetta Gladiators franchise is Nadeem Omar, he is the director of the Omar Associates. The head coach of the team is Moin Khan and the captain of Quetta Gladiator is Sarfraz Ahmed. They are the winners of the PSL 2019 trophy. They have qualified for the finals three times in the five editions of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Sarfraz Ahmed is the captain of the Quetta Gladiator from the first edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Sarfraz Ahmed is the only one who has led his team in consecutive five editions of PSL.
Multan Sultans
Multan Sultan is a professional T20I franchise cricket team in HBL PSL. They are also known as the Janoob ki pehchan. The home ground for the team is Multan Cricket Stadium. The owner of the team is Ali Tareen and Taimoor Malik. The head coach for the team is Andy Flower and the captain for the Sultans is Shoaib Malik. The team joined the Pakistan Super League in the 3rd edition of PSL. They are one of the most favorite teams in Pakistan. Shan Masood will lead the Multan Sultans team in the PSL 2021. Multan Sultans have won their first-ever trophy in PSL 2021 last year.
Karachi Kings
Karachi Kings is a professional T20I franchise cricket team in HBL PSL. The home ground for the Karachi Kings is National Stadium, Karachi. The National Stadium, Karachi has a seating capacity of 34,228. The owner of the Karachi Kings is Salman Iqbal, who is the CEO of ARY Channels. The team coach was Dean Jones(late) after his sudden death Wasim Akram took his place as team coach. However, this year the team coach will be Herschelle Gibbs and the team captain is Imad Wasim.
Peshawar Zalmi
Peshawar Zalmi is the most experienced team in the Pakistan Super League 6th Edition 2021. This team represents Peshawar city which is the capital of the province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The home ground for the team is the Arbab Niaz Stadium with a seating capacity of 35,000. The team owner is Javed Afridi who is a well-known businessman. Peshawar Zalmi has created many international players in five editions of the Pakistan Super League.
