Pakistan captain Babar Azam has reportedly turned down an offer to participate in the 11th edition of the Big Bash League for personal reasons. According to sources, Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who is at the top position in the T20 rankings, has turned down the offer to play in the Big Bash League and has preferred to spend time with his family.
The star batsman, who has spent the last three months in a bio-secure bubble environment under the current Covid protocol, wants to spend some time with his family before the start of the 7th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2022).
According to sources close to him, Babar Azam has not yet applied for NOC, so it is unlikely that he will be seen playing in the Big Bash this season until he changes his mind. Meanwhile, fast bowlers Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain, all-rounder Shadab Khan, Syed Fereydoon and fast bowler Ahmed Danial have agreed to play in the Big Bash League and will be seen in action in the BBL this year.
